Nowadays impersonating preachers spreading false concepts of Islam have made some Muslims and the world believe Jihad is something you do against people who do not fall into the criteria of Islam. Meaning that Islam encourages forced conversion. While if we read the actual Islam Jihad is nothing even close to forced conversion.
This misconception became the reason of the outspread Islamophobia these days. People are afraid of Muslims with beards and hijabs because they consider them extremists. And assume that they’ll be forced to act according to their (Islamic) beliefs. And if they do otherwise they’ll have to suffer. However, there is no reality in this. Islam is a peaceful religion and Muslims are a very non-violent nation. Because according to their belief they are only allowed to fight defensive wars. They are taught to respect minorities and be kind to every human being regardless of what race, caste, color or religion they belong too. Islam spreads the message of harmony. But people have been lead to believe an entirely opposite image of Islam. Not a single verse or the sayings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has ever encouraged violence. He always gave the message of love and respect to the world. For instance, in an Ayat, it is said, “Allah does not forbid you [O you who believe!] from being kind and just to those who have not waged war against you because of your religion and have not driven you out of your homes. Surely Allah loves those who are just. He only forbids you from making friends with those who have waged war against you because of your religion, have driven you out of your homes, and have supported others in driving you out. And whoever makes friends with them, these are the wrongdoers.” This Ayat completely explains the concept of Jihad in Islam. To only fight for the protection of your rights, instead of fighting to drive other people from their rights. It says that everyone should be kind to everyone unless they drive you out of your home. Islam teaches not to be cruel to others because of the religion of belief so that same doesn’t happen to you. But if it does still happen, Muslims are given all the liberty to protect themselves and their religion and are allowed to declare open war against the oppressors. Forcing anyone on conversion is also not allowed to Muslims because Islam detests Munafiqat or Hypocrisy. Anyone who is a munafiq does not get the rewards of being a Muslim. On multiple occasions in the Quran, Allah (SWT) has discouraged hypocrisy regarding to religion. As said in Surah Baqarah: Of the people, there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe. Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realize (it) not! (Surah Al-Baqara, 9) It is clearly stated in this Ayat what the status of a Munafiq is. So when there is no space for munafiqs in Islam then why would it encourage Muslims to convert non-Muslims to Islam by force. Because they would never accept the religion from their heart and soul. But will only act on the outside. Which is utter Munafiqat. The final Ayat that is necessary to be quoted here is where Allah (SWT) explicitly explains in Surah Baqarah how there is no compulsion in religion. This Ayat is all the evidence anyone needs to know that Islam is indeed not a forceful religion. “There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.” (Al-Baqarah 256-257) Islam does allow Muslims to preach their religion so that it could spread among the disbelievers too. But there isn’t a single instance where Islam asks Muslims to impose Islam on others by force through Jihad. Hence, it is a sheer misconception that the world would instantly discard if they get to know the actual teachings of Islam. So, if any Muslim is following that ideology he is going against the teachings of Allah (SWT). May Allah (SWT) guide all the believers and non-believers to the right path. Ameen! Muslim women activists in Bangladesh were on the mission to get the word virgin down from the marriage certificates. The reason behind this was that it represents gender inequality. Since only girls/women were asked to declare their virginity on the certificate and not men. Hence, female Muslim activists were protesting against it for quite a long time.
However, after the announcement of the decision on Sunday, women would not need to declare their virginity on the certificate anymore. Activists were glad about the decision as they consider this as an important development towards prevailing gender equality in the country. The marriage and divorce law of Bangladesh asks women to declare their status by selecting one of the three provided options. These three options were Kumari (virgin), married, or divorced. But for men, there was no such requirement. Three of the rights groups signed a petition against the law in 2014. This term in the marriage certificate is utterly discriminatory and a breach of any women’s privacy who is getting married. This word was however replaced with unmarried on the orders of the Bangladesh high court. The other two options remain the same. One of the lawyers representing the petitioners of the case, Aynun Nahar Siddiqua, informed that the grooms will also have to disclose their marital status in the marriage certificate. He mentioned that the judge agreed to the fact that this word is a violation of women’s fundamental rights and privacy. This term was being used on the certificates since 1961. The court will release a full version of the verdict around mid-October. However, it isn’t clear yet whether the government of Bangladesh will comply with the order of the court or not. Bangladesh’s minister of law, justice, and parliamentary affairs Anisul Huq said that he hasn’t received a copy of the judgment of the honorable court and is still waiting. Anisul Huq also asked the nation to wait for the order to arrive so he can go through the wordings thoroughly only then he will decide and respond to the queries. Read Also: Here’s What Islam Says About Men Dressing Up As Transgenders Or Women Nahar Kumar, a Bangladeshi lawyer, and rights activist called this a historic decision. He said that the constitution of Bangladesh does support equal rights for men and women. But when it comes to practicing the idea, there are lacking in the law, for example, this term being used in marriage certificates. So practically the country does not provide equal rights to men and women neither the same status. This decision will wakeup the policymakers that whenever they are making any administrative rules regarding either of the gender, they should keep in mind that both are equal, said Nahar. World Bank released a report in April where Bangladesh was found to be one of the few South Asian countries female employment has increased in the last decade. However, there is more that could be done to improve the status of gender equality in the region. In the prevalence of child marriages in the world, Bangladesh is on the fourth-highest rank, according to campaign group Girls Not Brides. Rights groups in 2017 criticized Bangladeshi lawmakers who were passing legislation allowing parents to marry their underage girls if it was in their best interests. It isn’t just what we say that Islam gives us all the principles on how to lead you lives. It's a fact. There’s no aspect of life that Islam has not talked about. It defines all key features that make a human a superior being. And help to form an egalitarian society. Islam defines the role of every person and how it has an influence on the life of the other person. And the acts that are beneficial for creating a balance in the society. It teaches us how life could be lived in the best possible manner. If a person is unclear about what he should to do make his life a peaceful and balance one all he has to do is learn the following lessons that Islam teaches us. Be Humble To Every BeingIt isn’t hard to roam around being proud of your achievements and financial position in the society. To be disrespectful to people who are weaker than you. And to brag about how you’re better than anyone else around you. Based on color, cast, race, ethnicity or anything. But the difficult part here is to stay humble despite all the achievements you have managed to gain. Build a true respectful image in the society with your humble behavior. And that’s what Islam teaches us. You would have a hundred reasons to opt for the crudeness but you should still choose to stay humble. “And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace” – The Holy Quran 25:63 Surah AL-FURQAN At another place Allah the Most High said: “O you who believe, let not (one) people laugh at (another) people, perchance they may be better than they, nor let women (laugh) at (other) women, perchance they may be better than they; and do not find fault with other people, nor call one another by nicknames; evil is a bad name after faith, and whoever does not repent, he it is who is unjust.” Guard Your TonguePeople benefit more from being quiet than from speaking. Because you might harm someone with your words but no one is harmed from your silence. This is the lesson that Islam teaches to us. Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: "Whosoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, then let him speak good or remain silent." Islam also asks Muslims to think before they speak. They should not speak unnecessarily as the angel is writing every single word of a believer in the records. “Not a word does one utter, except that there is an (angel) Watching, Ready to record it.” [Surah Qaaf: 18] The religion asks the believers to control your temptation to talk about other people behind their back. Do not backbite no matter how much you’re inclined towards doing so. Hudhayfah (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: "The one who spreads gossip (Namaam) will not enter Paradise." Muslims are taught to keep all his Muslim brother safe from his words. Abu Moosaa Al-Ash'aree (RA) reported: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allaah! Which of the Muslims is best?' He (SAW) responded: 'He whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe from.'" Abstain From Vain PleasureWorldly pleasures lure a human towards it. But a true Muslim does not gets himself involved in such pleasures. Because it only exhausts you more and more while abstaining from them puts your mind and body at rest. Whether this pleasure comes from music, or getting involved in any physical activity. A Muslim should abstain himself from any such pleasure that Allah has declared as the corruption of mind and soul. "Abstaining from the vain pleasures of this world puts the heart and the body at rest, whereas longing for them exhausts the heart and the body." said Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Do Charity And Purify Your Wealth Allah The Gracious has forbidden Muslims to pile up their wealth and not spend it on other Human Beings who are in need. Because this practice distorts the balance of the society, making the rich richer and the poor poorer. “And those who hoard up gold and silver (Al‑Kanz: the money, the Zakaah of which has not been paid) and spend them not in the way of Allah, announce unto them a painful torment” [Al-Tawbah 9:34] For this Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has conveyed to Muslims the system of paying Zakat. It purifies your wealth and creates a sense of humanity in you. “Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.” [Al-Tawbah 9:60] Be Respectful And KindIslam has guided the Muslims to be respectful to other humans in all cases. No matter how much they differ from you. Do acts of kindness for them and pay respect to them in every manner. Console them in pain, support them through crisis and disease and keep a check on them if they are in any kind of need. This is an order given to Muslims that they have to fulfil disregarding their status, gender, age, faith, cast and creed. Even if they are your servants you are to treat them with respect. Because in the eyes of Allah all humans are equal. "O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into races and families so that you may know each other. The most honored of you in Allah's sight are those who best keep their duty." (49:13) Allah has also ordered Muslims to be kind to the animals and has considered them as another community just like our own. "There is no animal on (or within) the earth, nor a bird flying on its two wings, but they are communities like yourselves (O people)." [Al-An'am 6:38] Be Patient In All MisfortunesThe ones among Allah’s favorite are those who remain patient no matter what happens. They would be calm and thankful for what they have. Not saying any ill word when in pain, they put their complete faith in Allah that He has not forgotten him. Their faith is that Allah the Almighty will give them strength to get out of all hardships. For more about Islam click here "Give good news to the patient, who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: We are Allah's and to Him do we return." [Al-Baqara 2:155-156] Be ForgivingWe usually get angry with someone and them keep it in our heart unable to forgive him. But Allah (SWT) asks us to do the opposite. It's hard to forgive someone but thats what will put you in a better place. Because Allah loves those who forgive and forgiveness is indeed better than punishment. Also, Allah (SWT) loves those who forgive. "The recompense of evil is punishment like it. But whoever forgives (an evil committed against himself) and amends (matters), his reward is with Allah. . . . Whoever is patient and forgives, that is a matter of great resolution." [Ash-Shuraa 42:40, 43] Be Honest A Muslim in the sight of Allah can be anything but dishonest. He should hold on to honesty in every phase of his life. Fulfilling the rights of every human being with honesty is an obligation to every Muslim.
"Don't go near the property of an orphan, except in a goodly way, till he attains maturity. And fulfil the promise (you make). Give full measure when you measure out, and weigh with a true balance." [Al-Isra 17:34-35] The teachings of Islam are very balanced and righteous. Hence, if we lead our lives according to the learning, there's no doubt that we’ll be a successful individual in this world and hereafter. If you have went for Hajj, you must have seen and kissed the black stone, Hajr-e-Aswad. It is engraved in a wall of Kaabah. This stone has great significance and value for Muslims since it has been narrated in Hadiths as the stone of Jannah. It is told that this stone was installed by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS). The narrations also tell that it was previously white in color when it was in paradise. “The Black stone descended from paradise, and it was more white than milk, then it was blackened by the sins of the children of Adam.” (Tirmidhi 877, Book 9: Hadith 70) Significance Of The Black StoneIn many places Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has told the Muslims about the importance of Hajr-e-Aswad. It is the stone that will testify for the Imaan of a believer on the day of judgement. It will be given two eyes and a tongue, from which it will speak. “By Allah! On the Day of Qiyaamah, Allah will present the Hajr-e-Aswad in such a manner that it will have two eyes and a tongue to testify to the Imaan (faith) of all those who kissed it.” (Tirmidhi 961, Book 9: Hadith 155) The fact that it is the stone from Paradise is known via a Hadith too. “The Black Stone is from Paradise.” (Nasa’i 2935, Book 24: Hadith 0) Kissing Hajr-e-Aswad In Hajj The most significant act that involves Hajr-e-Aswad is during Hajj and Umrah. Muslims while performing Tawaf kiss Hajr-e-Aswad as it is the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who performed this act during the first pilgrimage. Muslims kiss the stone every time they complete a Tawaf. However, the kissing of the stone is not an act of worship as might see. If someone considers that, it would be a misconception. It is actually only a Sunnah which Muslims have been following for centuries. They kiss it as an act of respect and reverence. The reason behind kissing Hajr-e-Aswad, the stone, is not to gain any benefit from it. Hence, the misconception that it is a form of idolatry is completely wrong. It is only done out of respect for it. “I saw Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA) kissing the (Black) Stone and saying: ‘I am kissing you while I know that you are just a stone, and if I had not seen the Messenger of Allah kissing you, I would not kiss you.” (Tirmidhi 860, Book 9: Hadith 53) This Hadith was narrated by Abbas bin Rabi’ah (RA) which gives a clear understanding of the concepts of Islam regarding kissing of the stone. The intention behind it is not motivated by the will to worship the stone. As said in the hadith given above, the stone will testify for the all the Muslim believers who would kiss Hajr-e-Aswad on the day of judgement. This is the reason why every Muslim gives so much importance to this act. Whoever goes to Makkah, whether for Umrah or Hajj, they make sure they kiss Hajr-e-Aswad. Hence, kissing Hajr-e-Aswad is not like kissing any regular stone. This is something of greater value. It would probably take Muslims to Jannah in afterlife. It holds exceptional importance. The sanctity of this stone is also mentioned in another Hadith Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “The Hajre Aswad and al-Maqam (Ibrahim) are the two jewels from the jewels of Paradise. Had Allah not concealed their radiance, they would illuminate everything between the East and the West.” (Tirmidhi) This Hadiths besides talking about Hajr-e-Aswad is also talking about Maqam-e-Ibrahim. It is a stone on which there are feet of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) imprinted on it. These footprints appeared when Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) was building Kaabah with his son Ismail (AS). The walls became too high so the stone that he was standing on rose up miraculously and also back down. After which his steps were imprinted on the stone now called Maqam-e-Ibrahim. So these two stones according to the Hadith are radiant in nature. However, Allah (SWT) has ceased their radiance or else the natural order of the world would have gotten disturbed. How Do You Perform The Act Of Kissing Hajr-e-Aswad. First you have to get in the line of believers who wish to Kiss the stone. Then you walk besides the wall of Kaabah keeping your hands against the walls of Kaabah while you are walking in the line. This is so you aren’t dragged away from it in the crowd. Same goes for you to keep your hands downwards so you don’t push anyone.
When you’re in the cue, keep walking patiently. Don’t try to break the cue or get ahead because that would be an effort gone in vein. Since, you would be instantly pushed away from your position in the crowd. Therefore, keep pushing yourself closer to the stone against the wall of Kaabah. If at some point you start losing balance, just get a hold of the rings on the side of Kaabah. It will help you regain balance. This is the only way to get to the stone. If you let yourself lose your balance, you would be pushed away in an instance and the whole effort would be wasted. So stay sturdy and focused. As you get closer to the stone, start reciting any dua that you can remember and ask for Allah’s refuge. Also ask Allah that everyone stays safe at your hand and that He gives you patience. Because as you reach closer the pressure of crowd increases. So as a reflex you might push someone. But you have to keep gathering courage and seeking Allah’s help to reach the stone. When you’re finally there, don’t wait for too long. Just kiss the stone and move forward quickly. Since, the longer you stand there, the more risk there will be of you falling. And that’s a risk that one should never take in a crowded place. If you follow these steps and remain calm, Allah Almighty will peacefully get you out of the crowd too. Hajr-e-Aswad is a very valuable stone, and getting the chance to kiss it is a great blessing from Allah. It will raise your chances of getting into Jannah on the day of judgement. What else does a Muslim wish for? This is the biggest gift you could get from Allah (SWT). So if you get the chance of going to Kaabah, make sure you do not return without kissing the black stone. It will give you internal peace and a green card to Jannah. It is a great blessing. It would be hard, but if you are determined to get to it, Allah (SWT) would InshaAllah give you the strength and opportunity. May Allah (SWT) give all of us the chance to visit Makkah and kiss Hajr-e-Aswad. Hajj being one of the fundamental five pillars of Islam, is an obligation for every Muslim to performs once in life. However, the muslims who have any kind of disability or are not financially able are spared from this obligation. Millions of Muslims gather every year at Mecca in the Islamic month of Zil-Hajj. It involves a number of rituals that Muslims undergo to become pure and rise in the sight of Allah. The duration of Hajj involves about 5 to 6 days. And after a Muslim is done performing Hajj, he becomes as pure of sins as a new born baby. This journey provides peace to your heart and soul. Anyone who performs Hajj is considered fortunate as any dua he makes does Hajj is accepted. How do I prepare for Hajj?Wearing Ihram from Meeqat: The first and foremost ritual is wearing Ihram when Muslims reach the Meekat. One can not proceed towards rest of the rituals before wearing Ihram. Ihram is a sacred two piece attire that Muslims have to wear after getting Ghussal, perfuming beard and head and getting moustache trimmed. They then perform two Rakats of Salah al-Ihram and repeatedly pronounce Talbiyah. What do you do at Hajj?Hajj involves a series of rituals that are performed sequentially. You cannot go out of the way and perform the rituals in a sequence that suits you. Here are the outline of those rituals: Tawaf around the Kaaba: Muslims perform Tawaf around Kaaba i.e. taking seven rounds of Kaaba. This is done both in Hajj and Umrah. Travel To Mina: After performing morning prayer Muslim start travelling towards Mina which is a small town in Mecca. Where they stay for a day and observe all the prayers there. Night Stay At Arafat: On the second day of Hajj, Muslims travel to Arafat from Mina while reciting Astaghfar. On reaching Arafat, pilgrims are instructed to observe ac combined prayer of Duhr and Asr along with Qasr. They do this between noon to sunset. This whole ritual is called Waquf. Offering Prayers In Muzdalifah: After the sunset the pilgrims start moving toward Muzdalifah where they offer the evening prayers and stay the night until Fajr. The ritual of 3rd day of Hajj is throwing pebbles at the devil. Each pilgrim collects 49 pebbles of similar size from Muzdalfah and heads toward Mecca to perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah and Sa’i. For more knowledge about islam and deen click here Sa’i between Safa and Marwah The act of walking a distance of 450m between the two mountains Safa and Marwah is called Sa’i. A pilgrim has to take seven such trips to complete this ritual. It is a reminder of Bibi Hajra’s act of running back and forth seven times between the mountains in search of water for Hazrat Ismail. Throwing Pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqabah: After performing Sa’i pilgrims return to Mina. Here they perform the ritual called Rami or “Stoning The Devil”. Using the 49 pebbles collected from Muzdalifah every Pilgrim has to throw seven pebbles at each of the three Jamrats. The three Jamraats are named - Jamrat al-Sughra (the smallest one), Jamrat al-Wusta (the middle one), and Jamrat al-Aqabah (the largest one). This ritual is carried out in the noon of 4th and 5th day of Hajj. Sacrificing a Goat or Cow After the Rami, Muslims are to sacrifice an animal for which they buy a coupon on their names. The animal is either a lamb or a camel. After the animal is sacrificed the meet is send to other Middle-Eastern or Poor Countries. Shaving the head Or Clipping Hair: After the sacrifice the men either get their heads completely shaved or get a part of their hair clipped. While women only get one of their locks clipped. What is the main purpose of the Hajj? The first purpose of performing a Hajj is the fulfillment of the obligation. Since it is one of the five pillars of Islam. Other purpose may include Uniting all Muslims at one place in the same clothes and performing the same rituals. No racial, national, castiel, economical, or even sectual difference between any Muslim. All are equal. It brings us closer. It also revoked a new sense of purpose and a new perspective of the world. When Muslims stand in a uniform they realise that their markers of wealth, all the materials are meaningless. And this is the only thing that is important. They get a sense of Humility. Hajj also shows the world how a million of people can gather at one place in peace despite their different mindsets. It gives a message of peace. It provides Muslims with a chance to start fresh. As the slate of sins is cleared with the grace of Allah. How is the Kaaba important in Hajj?Kaaba is considered as Islam’s most sacred site. In Hajj and Umrah, the tawaf is performed around Kaaba seven times in counter-clockwise direction.
The important thing to note is that Muslims do not worship the Kaaba, they respect it as it is told to be Allah’s house on Earth (Bayt Allah). It is also the Qibla, toward which muslim direct their bodies while observing Salah. So, Hajj is incomplete without the existence of Kaaba. Performing Hajj has a lot of significance in Islam and also provides a different perspective to a Muslim about the importance of his life. How the worldly life and treasures are unimportant. And the only true purpose to their lives is serving the humanity, standing united with their brothers and pleasing Allah. Hence, every Muslim must and should perform Hajj once in their life if they are physically and financially able. Islam is a religion of peace. The ones who know it, know it. But there is a lot of misconception spread about Islam because of the false preaching of Islamic teachings. The extremists have blurred the vision with their own versions of Islam. While if you read the verses of Quran it tells nothing but to be at peace with everyone. Whether the person is from a different religion be respectful and do not use any words that would hurt their sentiments. The meaning of the word “Islam” is itself driven from the word peace in arabic. But currently what’s happening is that a group of Muslims keeps declaring war against non-muslims. With the intent of attack and not defence. However, the real Islam teaches love and compassion towards humanity and guides us towards creating lifelong brotherhood among each other. Unless you have some knowledge gathered about Islam yourself making logical connections by yourself, anyone can come and shape your concepts the way they like. The misconception can only be cleared out with some genuine proofs and what can be more genuine than the verses of Quran itself. So, here are 7 verses that preach a clear undoubted message of peace to the world. Only Fight Defensive Wars“You may kill those who wage war against you, and you may evict them whence they evicted you. Oppression is worse than murder. Do not fight them at the Sacred Masjid, unless they attack you therein. If they attack you, you may kill them. This is the just retribution for those disbelievers.” [Surat al-Baqarah, 191] This verse clearly indicates the concept of defensive wars in Islam. It forbids the Muslims to attack or oppress someone unnecessarily. If it comes to defending your religion or region, you may fight back against them to set an example for others. “God does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from being just towards them. God loves those who are just.” [Surat al-Mumtahana, 8] Two criteria are defined in this verse for war. Unless you have been fought against your religion or have been driven out of your homes, war cannot be justified. “You may fight in the cause of GOD against those who attack you but do not aggress. GOD does not love aggressors.” [Surat al-Baqarah:190] Islam does not instruct to declare irrelevant wars since it would be unjust and Islam doesn’t promote injustice. However extremists nowadays are doing the exact opposite. Forbids Wars Based On Racial, National Or Secular Differences“We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” (Surat al-Ma’ida, 48) In this verse it is declared that all people of the world are equal and are to be held accountable under one law. Initiating wars based on the racial, national or secular differences is absolutely forbidden. Also, the verse says that it is not a justified base for fighting with each other. Since every human is going to return to one God where he will hold them accountable. for more details about islam and deen visit here So, we humans are to acknowledge and accept the differences instead of fighting over them. Forgive And Forget If They Offer Peace“If they resort to peace, so shall you, and put your trust in GOD. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.” [8:61]
“If they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then GOD gives you no excuse to fight them.” [4:90] Both of the above verses stress on accepting a peace call. If the disbelievers offer peace, it is instructed to immediately stop the war and accept their offering of peace. And, Allah is watching so if you do otherwise he’ll be the most knowing. So, do not corrupt your hearts with false hate. “God does not love corruption”. [Surat al-Baqara, 205] These are a just few out of many verses where Islam is giving a message of peace to Muslims. Allah has guided war to be the last option if the disbelievers do not refrain from fighting. Indeed Islam is a religion of peace. It has been proven with these few verses only. May we all be directed towards the right path. Ameen! Being Muslims, we all know a little something about Dajjal. The most common being that he would be a one eyed human who would corrupt the hearts of Muslims with his barbarity. He is someone all of us fear and pray to never be in confrontation with - seeking ‘Panah’ from his ‘Fitnah’. As Prophet (PBUH) himself has given us a dua to recite regarding Panah from Dajjal. “O Allah! I seek Your protection from the torture of hell, and I seek Your protection from the torture of the grave, and I seek refuge with You from the mischief of life and death, and I seek Your protection from the mischief of Dajjal pretending as Messiah.” (Bukhari) Prophet (PBUH) Called The ‘Fitnah’ Of Dajjal The GreatestHe is part of the prophecies preached to us by our Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) about the end of times. The ‘Fitnah’ that Dajjal would disseminate will eventually lead us towards Akhirah because he is introduced to us as one of the major signs that the end of time is near. The hadith narrated by Hazrat Imraan bin Hussain (RA) as one of the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) about Dajjal says: “I heard Rasulullah (PBUH) saying: “Since the birth of Adam (AS) till the advent of Qiyamah there is no fitnah much greater than that of Dajjal.” This hadith asserts the fact that all the Fitnah’s observed in the past are nothing infront of one that is yet to come. The Fitnah of Dajjal would be like the ones that have never been witnessed before. Dajjal’s ‘Fitnah’ Was Also Preached To Previous Nations“I warn you against him; there is no Prophet who has not warned his people against him? Even Noah warned his people against him.But I will tell you something which no other Prophet has told his people. You must know that the Dajjal is one-eyed, and Allah is not one-eyed.” - (Bukhari) The hadith mentioned above implies that previous Prophet’s nations had also been warned about Dajjal. However, these nations were not told about the one-eye of Dajjal. It is probably because they were not going to face Dajjal in their times. But we are closer to the end of times so we have been given many descriptions about him. Anyhow, one thing that this hadith tells us is, if the teachings of the previous prophets would have been preserved in their original form, the prophecy of Dajjal could be confirmed via a number of religion. Though this is not the case anymore. More Hadiths that describe Dajjal, His Existence, And Physical Appearance As narrated by Ubadah ibn Saamit radiyallahu anhu, Prophet (PBUH) said, “I have explained Dajjal to you, but I fear that you might not have understood. Maseeh-ud-Dajjal will be short and his legs will be crooked. The hair on his head will be extremely twisted. He will have one eye, while his other eye will be flat. It will be neither deep, nor protruding.” Another Hadith narrated by Ibn Umar radiyallahu anhuma says that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) explained regarding Dajjal, “…red complexioned, fat, curly haired man, blind in the right eye which looks like a bulging grape.” Lastly Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) explained to us that the word “Kafir” would be written on his forehead in between his eyebrows. This became known to people from Tamim al-Dari’s encounter with Dajjal on an Island which he narrated to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who also confirmed it to be true. However, it is unclear whether this encounter described by Tamim al-Dari was physical or spiritual vision. The incident was reported as: - Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2942, Grade: Sahih Even though all the islands in the world have been discovered and there has been no such individual find on any of them, people still believe he is living on an island and has hidden himself with supernatural means. Interpretation Of Hadiths About DajjalHowever there are many interpretations of the prophecies that were conveyed to us by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) centuries ago. Some of which even conclude that Dajjal might not be an individual and the physical description can be inferred as something much deeper than it sounds. The one eye could be referring to a vision, an unseen force, a country or a world wide social and cultural phenomenon. It could be anything! One hint that we get from the hadith that Dajjal might not simply be a human being with one eye is that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has narrated in one of the above hadiths where the appearance of Dajjal is very explicitly explained yet Prophet (PBUH) says “I have explained Dajjal to you, but I fear that you might not have understood.” We all might agree that there is nothing very complex in identifying a human being with the kind of physical appearance that has been described about Dajjal then why would Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) say that you might have not understood. This is the question which leads us to thinking that there are some deeper levels to the description of Dajjal. Hadiths Explaining The Wrath Of DajjalDajjal is called the False-Massieh. The reason behind it is that he will claim to be a prophet and ask everyone to bow down before him either by force or by manipulation. Many people including muslims would believe him and start following his path which is why Prophet (PBUH) has guided us to not go near Dajjal even as believers as he would be manipulative. So when you return, you will not be a believer anymore you would be his follower. Another hadith quotes Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) saying, Source: Muslim This hadith implies that those who shall obey the False Messiah, he will reward them with his Paradise which is in real the hell for us in hereafter, and those who denounce him shall enter his Hell which in reality will earn us the actual hereafter Paradise. It is also said that the means of travel for the anti-christ would be a gigantic mule, travelling at impossible speeds. He will cause droughts and famine upon tho ones who reject him. However remembering the true Lord will satiate them. Some of the other hadiths summed up in the following three pointer describe the happenings that would take place during his rule: However, the rule of Dajjal wouldn’t literally be of years. It is said in a hadith that Dajjal would rule for only 40 days out of which 1 day would be like a year the other would be like a month and another would be like a week. Rest of the days would be normal like ours. What Prophet (PBUH) Has Instructed Us To Do The prophecy about Dajjal is sure to happen and when it does, Prophet (PBUH) has told us to pray for protection against him and recite Surat al-Kahf. This Surat will save a muslim man from his trial. Prophet PBUH has also instructed us to leave Dajjal on his own and stay away from if we want to stay safe. Since, killing Dajjal is not in our hands. That will only happen at the hands of Hazrat Issa (AS). So he has clearly forbidden to attempt any such thing. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6244, Grade: Sahih

Ramadan is a month of blessing, mercy and forgiveness, known for awakening a passionate spirit in the Muslims for centuries. “Ramadan” comes from Arabic origin, a word having meaning for “Parched Thirst”. It stands for the act of fasting that muslims undergo during this month. However, the fasting is not limited to feeling the thirst and hunger of your own but also of others and to refrain oneself from wrongdoings. In this holy month, we are promised our blessings to be doubled for every good deed that we do. Allah has his doors of mercy open on us in this month and anyone who seeks mercy is granted with it. Ramadan is of 29 to 30 days and is divided into three stages or ashras. Every Ashra has its own essence. The first ashra is Rahmat, second is Maghfirat and the third is Nijaat. As quoted by the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: “It (Ramadan) is the month, whose beginning is mercy, its middle, forgiveness and its end, emancipation from the fire (of hell).” We have gone past two ashras already and as we enter the last ashra of Ramadan 2019, there are only a few days left for us to get the most out of it. Third Ashra nijaat means safety from the hell. It is considered the most important Ashra because Lailatul Qadar falls in one of these nights. So people maximize their prayers and some also practice Aitakaf. And about Ramadan and Lailatul Qadar night is shared here. Not wasting a single moment of this precious time of the year, here are 10 things you could do to gather as much blessings, mercy and forgiveness as you can in the remaining 10 days of Ramadan: Reciting the dua for last Ashra: In the Ashra of Nijaat, we are to seek refuge from Hell-Fire, If our prayer is heard and we are saved from hell fire because of, having this dua recited throughout the day wouldn’t seem much to be turning out as such a great blessing Pay Zakat, do charity:
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam, it can be paid all around the year but Ramadan is the best time to earn yourself a great deal of blessing through it. Do the smallest of charity like giving someone new clothes to arranging iftaars. Read Quran with tafseer: What is a better way to get closer to Al-Khaliq than reading and understanding his message in the Quran better. Offer Taraweh: Prophet PBUH drove emphasis on praying at night practicing nawafil (Taraweh) with sincere faith saying that whoever does that his previous sins will be forgiven. Practicing Aitakaf: Aitakaf is the practice of staying in the mosques in the last Ashra to only focusing on observing prayers more and getting yourself closer to Allah and disengaging yourself from the outside world. It is the best source to reach maximum blessings in Ramadan. Refrain yourself from anger: Anger is forbidden in Islam as it is one form of shar so refraining yourself from it and be kind to the fellow-beings shall earn Qurbat to Allah “Those who spend (in Allah’s cause) in prosperity and in adversity, who repress their anger, and who pardon men, verily, Allah loves the al-Muhsinun (the good-doers).” (3:134) Forgive others: While you seek forgiveness for yourself from Allah, do not forget to show forgiveness towards others because Allah loves the ones who forgive others. “Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant.” (7:199) Tragic News for Asif Ali, Pakistan Cricket board Likely to announce ICC world Cup 2019 squad20/5/2019 A sad news circulated this morning that Asif Ali's daughter died in the battle of stage 4 cancer in U.S, PSL franchise ISLU has shared condolences to the family and stated that Asif Ali is the sign of bravery and courage. source: https://www.reuters.com/
